Curriculum Review/Development:

I offer a robust background in Curriculum Development, Curriculum Review, Program updating/review, and comparative analysis of programs to prevailing trends in Higher Education.  I specialize in  innovative curriculum development, refreshing existing curriculum, expanding relevancy of curricular offerings to the interests and needs of your student body, developing interdisciplinary programming by creating new curriculum or drawing on existing offerings in departments, and creating practicum/experiential opportunities that are in-class, out of class, and built into existing curriculum offerings.

I have experience with quarter/semester conversion processes, updating course catalogs, re-mapping course numbers and nomenclatures to clarify/augment student transcripts, and developing interdisciplinary offerings with colleges and across colleges.

Short Term Study Abroad Programs:

I have significant experience designing, proposing, implementing, and then leading Short Term (14 - 30 day) international study visits that can be offered as their own courses, addendums to existing courses, or as extra-curricular learning opportunities.  I can provide pedagogical support, logistical support, advise/tips for faculty looking to lead these types of programs, and conceptual support for departments/colleges looking to add these opportunities to their offerings.  I have developed or consulted on development of several unique short-term study abroad programs, have in-field experience leading them with a team of Teaching Assistants and cohorts of up to 30 students.

College in the Community:

As part of my experience in experiential education, I have experience creating, mentoring, facilitating and advising students and faculty on education opportunities that bring students into their local communities to practice what they have learned in a classroom environment. Service-learning opportunities, whether directly or indirectly related to a students curriculum can be enriching opportunities that support a local community, broaden a student's perspective, and create meaningful and compelling experiences for their resumes and applications. I can offer conceptual, pedagogical, and practical advice and support on creation of these programs including how to navigate challenging questions like assessment and review.

Academic Competencies

I can provide assistance to any department on conceptualizing the above programs, understanding some of the logistics/challenges in approaching them, and can assist with assessment/review of these programs.
